Ty Brooks Q&A

Tweet CB Ty Brooks (Fargo, ND) Your senior year didn’t end as you hoped, but you still had a great run at Fargo South. Tell Bison fans about Bruin football and how you finished your years on the varsity team. Bruin football is a tight family, Anything less than a state championship is a disappointment to us and just making the playoffs isn’t good enough as it would be for some teams. Our coaches instill that in us early into the program so that when we get to the varsity level we know what we need to accomplish. Teammates will...

We play 6A football in the northwest suburban conference and over the past 4 years we’ve had our ups and downs. We made it to the section final in 2 of those years and lost to Wayzata both times. We had 7 players sign to play football which was cool to see because it had been our dream to play in...

2015 NDSU Football Recruiting Biggest Wins

Tweet I’m just going to come out and say it, the 2015 football class for NDSU is the schools best ever……….. on paper. Time will tell what they can achieve if they buy into the Bison tradition. They went to some new territories and beat FBS schools all while cleaning up many of the top players in Minnesota. So let’s take a look at some of the biggest wins for this class....

How Many NDSU Starters Return?

John Neis 7/31/13 I have seen a lot of different numbers where people say how many returning starters NDSU will have for the 2013 season. There were only 8 seniors on last years back to back team and only 4 started games in 2012. Anyone saying a number less than 18 is not good at math. So who were the four senior starters and who will step in? Recruiting Notes (6-15)

John Neis 6/15/13   The offers are coming in hot and the most I have ever seen before summer camp. Why is that? There are a numerous factors that we can point to: 1) Huge senior class means this will be a full recruiting class unlike the last few years. Expect in the ballpark of 75 reported offers. 2) The exposure from the back to back championships have made it easier for coaches to get into serious conversations with athletes who may not have even answered the call 10 years ago. I think the two offers in Missouri proves this theory. 3)...

John Neis 3/6/13 In a recent interview with KFGO’s Mike McFeely (listen here)  NDSU athletic director Gene Taylor mentioned the search for a 6th home game is becoming more difficult by the day.  When Montana State wussed out and canceled their trip, the list of teams that had mutual open dates with NDSU were small.  Worse yet, as the days have gone by more teams have filled up their open spots and as of today there are even less teams with mutual open dates. John Neis 3/6/13 It hasnt been easy for NDSU to get their OOC opponents to visit Fargodome. The list includes some big names like Georgia Southern and most recently Montana State. Both of those were suppose to be return trips of a home and home contract. So it has to be tough for the department to believe a school when they want to sign a home and home and NDSU goes on the road first.
